ABSTRACT

Abstract: Irrespective of dyeing method adopted for a specific dye-fibre system, both dye and fibre must possess either required free volume with pores inside to diffuse and/or reactive site to establish dye-fibre linkage which is essential to achieve desired shade with promising colourfastness. However, fibre structure may be modified to make it effective for the purpose. There are various parameters in dyeing which control the dyeing phenomenon and decides type of shade to be produced.
