ABSTRACT

Abstract: Textile fibres having fineness below one dtex has been considered as micro-fibre which possesses substantially higher surface area compared to that of conventional textile fibres and are getting popularity due to their good tensile strength, dimensional stability and stability to wear and tear etc. Micro-fibres essentially belong to manmade class as such a high draw ratio cannot be imparted to natural one. Due to exceptional fineness and high surface area, chemical processing becomes difficult and excess dye is required to produce a specific shade. Dyeings lack required fastness properties too.
