ABSTRACT

Abstract: Garment dyeing refers to colouration of sewn garment; cutting and stitching is performed either in grey state or after pretreatment of fabric. It reduces wastage of dyed fabric and lead time required with fast response to market demand. Problems are also experienced in dyeing a garment having differential construction with collar, rib, cuff, tightly stitched button holes and main body which obstructs uniform diffusion of dye hindering level dyeing. Button, zip and other garment closures further intensifies these problems. Differential coloured effects can also be produced with innovative techniques.
