ABSTRACT
Abstract: Dyeing of any textile is carried out in machines for mass production. Selection of a specific machine for dyeing is primarily based on form of textile, i.e., fibre, yarn or fabric with wide choice of machineries to dye in a specific form, viz. fibre (loose, top), yarn (package, hank etc) and fabric (open width or rope form). Also selection of machine depends on type of process to be carried out, viz. batch, semi-continuous or continuous. All these machines do not necessarily work under the same principle. Types of dyeing machines and make are endless. This chapter explains some first hand information on few dyeing machines.
