ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on a specific type of structural bio-based composite made by laminating layers of natural fiber veneer, strands, or other small elements to form timber-and lumber-like products (Figure 14.1). Categorized generically as structural composite lumber (SCL), the various product types have different fiber species, adhesives, and element sizes, shapes, and arrangements.
