ABSTRACT
Plastics have transformed the quality of life and molded modern civilization. It is beyond expectation to visualize any activity in which polymers do not play key roles in medicine and biomedical instrumentation, automobiles, electronics, entertainment, architecture, defense, housing, disposable food packaging, transportation, communications, and aerospace applications. Plastics may be super tough, rigid or flexible, transparent to opaque, allow selective permeation or act as barriers to meet specific customer demands and expectations.
