ABSTRACT

The use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has revolutionized imaging of the gastrointestinal tract. Not only does MRI provide impressive tissue contrast to help detect and characterize intestinal pathology, but it also does not impart ionizing radiation, which is a major advantage over computed tomography and traditional fluoroscopic techniques.
