ABSTRACT
Technically, imaging of the spine can be complex. The spinal canal is a deep, long cylindrical structure, which requires fine detail for adequate diagnostic evaluation.
Specialized coils are required to allow for adequate signal-to-noise ratio for imaging of each spinal segment. Field of view is typically smaller, ranging from 16-24 cm, in order to obtain adequate resolution.
