ABSTRACT
How do we practically dispose of naturally occurring radionuclides removed from water supplies in ways that protect human health and the environment? At least two states, Illinois and Wisconsin, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), have been working to address some of the many concerns necessary to answer this question.
