ABSTRACT

A human factors aim is to develop products that fit optimally into users' daily lives, and will become an obvious extension of their actions. Thus, the users' behaviour and requirements during daily life in relation to product use need to be investigated. The conclusions resulting from such investigations are fed into the early stages of the product development process. Early implementation of information about product use enables product developers to include findings in iterative evaluations, leading to the most effective and efficient development process.
