ABSTRACT
Restoring wetlands may require little dike construction, but creating a new system will likely require building one or more dams or berms if elevations are relatively flat. In any case, these structures function to modify site hydrology by restricting water flow to create a pool of standing or slow moving water that supports the biotic communities (Figure 10-1 ).
