ABSTRACT
Chemistry is rich in variety and detail-the number of dierent molecules you can create with dierent combinations of elements in dierent congurations is practically endless. Biology is extraordinarily complex-each organism is an integrated machine containing billions of parts that act in both regular and irregular ways that are more stochastic than deterministic. Put biology and chemistry together and you have pharmacology: the study of how drugs aect organisms. It is not a discipline for the faint of heart (or mind).
