ABSTRACT
Four examples of MAPO (movimentazione e assistenza pazienti ospedalizzatimovement and assistance for hospitalized patients) risk assessments in wards and other departments are shown in this chapter. Each example begins with a brief overview of the main organizational aspects (section A) of the ward, which help to define the main risk factors; next there is the completed data collection sheet (section B), followed by a possible preventive strategy for reducing the level of risk (section C).
