DEFINITION AND CLINICAL FEATURES A chronic, benign disorder of unknown cause, characterized by multiple, smooth, cherry-pink papules on the head and neck (405). Lesions may coalesce and are non-scarring. Histology shows a perivascular infiltrate of T-lymphocytes in the superficial and mid-dermis, with a normal overlying epidermis. Females are affected more often than males and childhood and familial cases have been reported.
