ABSTRACT
Viral infection causes specific morbidity and mortality after lung transplantation. In addition, several viral infections have been associated with long-term morbidity such as chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD), which was previously identified as bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS). This chapter reviews common viral infections that have a significant impact on lung transplantation.
