ABSTRACT

K14−xHxCd15Sn12Se46 (x ≈ 7). This quinary compound, which crystallizes in the cubic structure with the lattice parameter a = 2308.97 ± 0.05 pm and a calculated density of 3.790 g·cm−3 (for K7.92H6.08Cd15Sn12Se46), is formed in this system (Ding and Kanatzidis 2006). It was obtained after stirring K6Cd4Sn3Se13 in a concentrated aqueous solution of HI (pH = 1.1-1.8).
