ABSTRACT
One-dimensional shallow water flow in nonrectangular channels In this chapter, the discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method is applied to model one-dimensional shallow water flow in nonrectangular, nonprismatic channels. The governing equations for one-dimensional shallow water flows in natural channels are first discussed. Then, the discontinuous Galerkin method is applied to solve these equations.
