ABSTRACT
The surface free energy of some metal substrates and their oxides under selective wetting conditions is determined in order to exclude the influence of atmospheric adsorption. The dependence of the obtained values on the surface tension of used neutral hydrocarbon is detected. The pronounced hydrophobicity of studied surfaces before and after thermooxidation is reported.
