ABSTRACT

This chapter presents sequentially numerical results that allow to assess the impact of the three main factors that determine the thermophysiological comfort of a clothed person (Pichurov et al. 2014; Angelova et al. 2015):

• Effects of the environment (room air flow and temperature distri bution)

• Influence of clothing thermal insulation (insulation of textile layer or layers)

• Effects of the activity of the individual

Stankov (1998) demonstrated by numerous examples that the modeling of the process of ventilation even in rooms with simple geometry (rectangular geometry, no furniture and inhabitants) is very complex. In the present study, the selected room had a simplified geometry, but even in this case, the complexity of the aerodynamics of the room was obvious (Pichurov et al. 2014).
