ABSTRACT

There are 19 applications in this chapter. They key on environmental risk calculations that involve both discrete and continuous probability distributions. Discrete distributions that receive attention include binomial, multinomial, hypergeometric, and Poisson. Continuous distributions include normal, log-normal, exponential, Weibull, chi-square (χ2), F, and one joint probability distribution function (JPDF). Two of the applications are based on activities at the international level.
