ABSTRACT

When visualizing a radiograph, the practitioner should develop the technique of looking at the image in the same way as the patient is visualized. When looking at images of the right side of the horse, the radiograph should have the nose directed to the right; radiographs of problems on the left side of the patient are visualized with the nose directed to the left. When one becomes accustomed to this method, radiographic findings are more easily projected accurately to the patient.
