ABSTRACT

Treatment of periodontal disease can yield successful results. Pockets can be reduced and gingival attachment to teeth can be established. Reattachment may occur, though the true character of the adherent tissue is unknown. Figure 403 shows the periodontal pocket before treatment. The radiograph in figure 404 indicates widened PDL space. Figure 405 demonstrates a follow-up photograph of the same patient 6 months after treatment, indicating resolution of the periodontal disease.
