Immune Concentration-Based Feature Construction Approach
This chapter presents the immune concentration-based feature construction (CFC) approach, which was proposed by taking inspiration from biological immune system (BIS) and utilizes a two-element concentration vector as the feature vector for spam detection [155,190]. After an analysis of diversity of detector representation in artificial immune system (AIS), the motivation of CFC approach is described. Then, the overview of CFC approach is given. Implementation of CFC approach, including gene library generation and concentration vector construction, is described in detail. This chapter then analyzes the relation of CFC approach with other methods as well as the complexity of CFC approach. Finally, experimental validation and discussions are given.
