ABSTRACT
A deep circumflex iliac axial pattern flap (ventral branch) can be used to cover defects of the flank, the medial and lateral thigh and the pelvic region. The deep circumflex iliac artery emerges just cranio - ventral of the wing of the ilium and only the ventral branch is used (581, 582).
