ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to describe the effects that cause lift and drag forces to be exerted on immersed bodies-namely, boundary layer growth and separation. Data or drag of variously shaped bodies are presented, and, nally, the combined effects of lift and drag on different airfoils are discussed.
