ABSTRACT
Sewers need regular cleaning to prevent stoppages and restore proper hydraulic conditions. Line cleaning is accomplished using a variety of equip ment and techniques, such as flushing, balling, kites, scooters, rodding, bucket and winch machines, jetting, and combination machines. This chapter details the above, with the exception of jetting and combination machines. They are covered in the next chapter.
