ABSTRACT

Characteristics of the frontal copolymerization of acrylamide with methyl-methacrylate in the presence of single-wall carbon nanotubes in different amounts are studied. It is shown that adding of bentonite which represents the natural lamellar nanomaterial with nanodimensional layers results in the formation of polyacrylamide-bentonite hydrogels. It is shown that the filling by nanotubes by more than 20% (of the initial weight of comonomers) causes the loss of stability of copolymerization thermal waves with occurrence of periodical, spin and chaotic modes. The mechanism of periodical modes formation is offered. Physical and mechanical, dynamic and mechanical and thermochemical properties of obtained polymer nanocomposites are studied.
