ABSTRACT
This chapter is a "how-to approach" to provide the knowledge to the press operator or die setter to aid them in successful implementing quick die change. It will take the reader step by step through the process of planning and organizing the project, using the team approach to actively involve the people closest to the problem in bringing about corrective change and reduction in changeover time. The goal of the chapter is for the reader to be able to go out onto the production floor and successfully reduce changeover time by 50% with no capital dollars. The chapter divided into the following areas:
