ABSTRACT

We have studied organization, experimental design techniques, and analysis methods. These are the three key elements of successful experimentation. Now is the time to see these concepts at work. In this chapter, we will gain experience and learn by doing. We will look at actual experiments and observe how the planning, organization, and application of sound experimental methods produce the required information at the least expenditure of resources. This chapter will show us why we design experiments rather than just let information arrive at our doorstep in some haphazard manner.
