ABSTRACT
Things move quickly when you don’t actually have to build anything. We’re at the stage of a new mission that one of my colleagues calls ‘the
fun bit’. Things started at a meeting in Pasadena at which some of the first results
from the Spitzer mission were presented. As part of the Herschel team I was there, presenting our own plans for what would happen with this mission, at the time still five years from launch.
