Part IV covers point patterns with additional ‘structure’, starting in this chapter with point patterns in higher-dimensional space and space-time, and multivariate marks.
This book has explained the principles and techniques of spatial statistics in the simplest case of a point pattern in two-dimensional space, with no marks or with relatively simple marks. The same principles and techniques can be extended, with some modification, to higher dimensional space and to more complicated kinds of marks.
