ABSTRACT
Demography is the study of the composition, distribution, and growth of human population, and their interrelationships with social, economic, and behavioral factors. In addition to statistics relating to existing mental health conditions and available mental health care facilities, knowledge of demographic indicators is important for psychiatric service and research for specification of goals and targets in terms of measurable outputs.
