ABSTRACT
Abstract: The development of coal technology, as well as changes that influenced technology development, was used as the basis for predictions about the future. Changedrivers were classified and their impacts were analyzed under the headings of technical, economic, environmental, and political change drivers. Future trends were discussed in the fields of coal preparation, coal combustion and after treatment, coal gasification, coal carbonization, and coal liquefaction.
