ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we discuss design issues for alternate forms of transportation, such as public buses and subways. Also discussed is the design of community-based transportation services that may be staffed primarily by volunteers. Accessibility and usability for web and mobile access to transportation resources are covered. And finally, we briefly discuss applications of autonomous vehicles in the role of assistive technologies for older adults.
