ABSTRACT

I was born in 1970, the year China woke up from dormancy

and began to move and prosper. In that year, PV cells were used

for the first time in Dongfanghong 2, China’s telecommunications

satellite. Since then, various PV cells have been gradually used in

marine navigation, railway signals and other terrestrial facilities.

Like scattered flames, they have worked together brightening solar

energy’s prospects in China in the 21st century.
