ABSTRACT
Following the discovery of nitrogen mustard in treating non-Hodgkin’s lym-
phoma in 1942, we step into the modern era of chemotherapy [1]. After sixty
years of heavy investment and arduous research and developmental efforts, a
large number of life-saving Chemotherapeutic drugs are in clinical use. Due to
the fast elucidation of cellular and molecular biology, development of anticancer
drugs targeting specific pathway becomes possible [2]. However, the process
is still notorious for being highly costly with low success rate. Nanocarrier
encapsulation and polymer conjugation give old drugs a new life. It solves the
fundamental problems hunting chemotherapy for years, such as life-threatening
side effects, fast clearance, and drug resistance [3].
