ABSTRACT
Amines are classified as primary, secondary, or tertiary, depending on the number of organic groups attached to the nitrogen atom. They are derivatives of ammonia in which one, two, or three of the hydrogen atoms have been replaced by alkyl groups, resulting in the primary, secondary, and tertiary amine, respectively (see Fig. 1).
