ABSTRACT
The compartmental model framework is an extremely natural and valuable means with which to formulate models for processes that have inputs and/or outputs over time. In this chapter, we model radioactive decay processes, pollution levels in lake systems and the absorption of drugs into the bloodstream, using compartmental techniques.
