ABSTRACT

This chapter describes a system called SNODSOC (stream-based novel class detection for social network analysis) to detect evolving patterns and trends in social blogs, and shows how it may be hosted on a cloud. We also discuss security issues for cloud-based social network analysis. SNODSOC extends our powerful data mining system called SNOD (stream-based novel class detection) for detecting classes of blogs. We also describe SNODSOC++, which is an extended version of SNODSOC for detecting multiple novel classes. We have used many of the technologies discussed in the previous chapters in developing SNODSOC and SNODSOC++.
