CRITICAL POINTS Must Know ◾ The most common cause of lumbosacral radiculopathy is nerve root compression from disc herniation or spinal stenosis.
◾ Symptoms of lumbar radiculopathy, which usually involves the L5 and/or S1 root, are pain, paresthesias, and sensory loss; it is a clinical diagnosis.
