ABSTRACT

Plant Description A genus of approximately 33 species, Syngonium are native to tropical America. The evergreen epiphytic or terrestrial climbing vines have attractive variegated, lobed leaves produced on long stems. The plants contain a milky sap. Flowers are rarely produced in cultivation, and vary in color from white, green, orange, to red (Figure 381). Similar in appearance to the Syngonium species are the Scindapsus species (Figure 382).
