ABSTRACT

The majority of patients with lung cancer will have troublesome symptoms at some time during the course of their disease due to the disease itself or its complications.

Complications in lung cancer patients depend on the location of the tumor, its locoregional spread, and the presence of metastatic growth. Moreover, lung cancer, especially small cell lung cancer (SCLC), is associated with paraneoplastic syndromes more frequently than any other type of cancer is.
