ABSTRACT
The desire to procreate is one of the most essential aspects of being human. It is a basic biological and psychological drive. Reproductive freedom is therefore a fundamental human interest. The right to establish a family has been recognized by the Universal. Declaration of Human Rights1 and the right to protection from state intervention in matters related to reproduction has been legally acknowledged in the USA2 and many other nations.
