ABSTRACT
Background The specification and design of cleanroom environmental monitoring programs should consider behavior of particles with respect to sources, transport, and fate. Although a cleanroom represents a controlled environment with unidirectional flow and highly filtered air, the location of particle sources within the room, equipment, and personnel may influence the transport of particles and may affect critical processing locations.
