ABSTRACT
Content development is the design and construction of the objects and environment that create a virtual experience. This includes the visual, auditory, interaction, and narrative aspects of the virtual environment (VE). While this new medium of expression has much in common with other media (e.g., computer animation and games), it has its own peculiar aspects and distinctive features. These include real-time network communications, interactive spaces, multiuser interaction, avatars, and multimodal interfaces.
