ABSTRACT

Data from SART and ASRM1 indicate that only 38.1% of cycles in women younger than 34 years reach delivery of a healthy child after assisted reproduction. In the age group 35-37 years, this figure is 32%, 23% in ages 38-40 years, and 11% in women older than 40 years. Assuming an average of three embryos transferred in women 35 and older, these figures indicate that very few of their embryos implant.
