ABSTRACT

When a health practitioner administers (or “inputs”) a dose of drug to a patient, usually the ultimate goal is solely directed to the usefulness of the drug under abnormal conditions. That is, the drug must be effi-cacious and must be delivered to its site of action in an individual experiencing a particular physiological anomaly or pathological state. Pharmaceutical scientists, on the other hand, concent\ate their attention to solving problems inherent in drug delivery to deliver the optimal dose to the site(s) of action.
