ABSTRACT

The clinician who diagnoses and treats facial trauma should be guided by a comprehensive practical clinical and radiographic examination of the patient combined with a thorough knowledge of applicable treatment modalities. The information in this chapter is meant to be practical, not exhaustive. It is the hope that the reader, whether student or experienced practitioner, will develop and implement an approach to treatment of these injuries both to suit his or her skill level and provide predictable and acceptable outcomes for patients.
