ABSTRACT
The mainstays of pharmacological treatment of neuropathic pain are the antidepressants and the anticonvulsants. These drugs alleviate pain but do not treat the whole pain problem. A multidisciplinary approach to non-pharmacological and behavioural methods may be required.
