Renal allograft thrombosis Renal allograft thrombosis is responsible for 2-7% of early allograft losses (Irish, 1999). Graft thrombosis is characterized by anuria, and generally causes irreversible loss of function. Venous thrombosis in the transplanted kidney is more common than arterial thrombosis.
